This problem would not exist if the constant cheating of the SK law system ended.

Regrettably, QFT.

I don't know if this can be coded, but to keep the idea of allowing a necro release his minions to get a buff from them, in itself, is a valid tactic. The problem is that some are doing it to get around the law.

So, here is the idea. If it can be coded, why not make any actions that those recently released NPCs be considered an action taken by the original owner. If it is done within 2 ticks. From what I heard is that if the sessies are released and are not attacking something right away they go away. So, if it is set for 2 ticks, that will make sure there isn't any douchebaggery of timing the ticks.

That will still allow the necros to release their NPCs and it stops the cheating at the same time, if and only if, it can be coded.

Releasing undead to get a buff is indeed circumventing the code, the undead lose those scripts on control for a reason. So there is a two fold abuse, one being that people release the charms to get around law code, and two being they release to undead to get an unfair advantage, that being the scripts that are stripped while the undead is controled.

If Dulrik wanted you to have those scripts while the undead was under your control, he would not have control undead remove said scripts. Logic would dictate that releasing undead to gain those scripts is acctually bypassing the code. either bug/abuse.

I say we make a necro gank squad and all go get ALL the damn vicious undead and group rape the cities until it is debuffed.

Okay, CLEARLY you're wrong since even Alshain has said that releasing undead is FINE. As for getting undead and raping cities...if you think it's that easy go ahead, I'll see you spam die like most necromancers.

Alshain isn't the final word on the topic, Dulrik is, and this is another case he is going to need to make a comment.

Maybe all controlled NPCs should lose all their scripts any time they are under PC control. Then when they are released they will be the same as they were when controlled.

Last I knew said undead in question had scripts, scripts get turned off while controled, when released scripts come back on.

That's a good idea, if you want to wimp the [REDACTED] out of areas filled with undead for anyone who's buddies with a necro.

PvE is never a question when you're with a necro...

PK balance is infinitely more important than PvE balance, especially when the question is only one of a necro vs. undead - they have it easy as it is. The change Achernar suggests might may it slightly easier, but not much, as it already is quite easy for a necro whenever the area in question is abundant in undead.
