Should voodoo be changed?

I didn't bother to read past the first post, but I would like to see it changed or replaced.

I don't think that it should be limited to a killing spell, if kept. As I've suggested, change it to "cast voodoo target area" where area is head/chest/arms/legs. Head would deal curse, blind/deaf, damage. Chest would deal the most damage as it strikes the heart, curse. Arms would produce curse, weaken and damage. Legs would hit with curse and faerie fire, with a possibility of decrease in movement, so if running, the fastest you can run is jogging.

If replaced, I would like to see a summon spirit/totem. Instead of being a generic pet to tank or deal damage, they would be more of an enhancement. For example: A bear spirit would enhance the damage of the shaman/group while it is present. A lizard would enhance the physical regeneration of the shaman/group. An owl would increase the wisdom or up mana regen of the shaman/group.

I used to play with my dolls when I had a shaman. I'd be all emoting holding them up and making them cry for mercy and [REDACTED] in my broken griffenglish.

That was always good for a laugh.

Actually, I might be thinking of someone else doing a similar thing with their own spirit dolls. Either way, it was on mrperson13, which is long gone.

For some reason shamans don't have 'detect aura' which is weird. They come second in getting that spell, right after priests...They are half-priests to start with.

RP-wise, Shamans are all about spirits, auras etc. Just add that spell to their list and even remove voodoo.

Voodoo is their best spell, they better get something good in return.

And I dont see why not, They are only 'half' healers.

Look at WoW, they can even dual wield on there :/

They are 1/2 melee and 1/2 healer.

Perhaps they should be given a spell that somehow manipulates one's spirit. Something like confusion or something. Unless we want them to turn to more like spiritual warriors in which case Edamage would be great.
