The other pets don't have the huge weaknesses of the bondservants though, nor can they be countered so easily.

They are also severely weaker. Rather, compare it to charm person, another ability which has a plethora of countermeasures - except that this spell is the stable of an entire class' abilities.

This is simply too much power to grant all classes - any class actually.

It's power when you don't know how to counter it. If you put your mind to think, having a bondservant or not means nothing in the PvP field because he will be nullified before the battle even starts. Actually, if you are really good with your tactics(and the bondservant user is bad), you can get him in a position where he will be at a disadvantage with you.

And you can't perform any of these tactics with other pets, because the (charmed) flag prevents such tactics.

So far it's 3 people who say bondservants throw a lot of class balance out of whack, one person who thinks their lack of order lag disturbing, and D-A, who is always using them, yet also states that they're not really useful at all.

I don't like them.

Also, this is gameplay, if I'm not allowed to call people fuckwits (or whatever) then nobody should.

The NPCs of Astrid Haakon, Yric Torquil and some other idiot that I can't remember right now are imbalanced and out-of-concept for the game.

They are purchasable barbarians of expert-champion status that can wield weapons and be used by any class.

No pets that can be purchased should be able to wield weapons.

They are extremely useful against noobs like you who fail to understand basic mechanics and turn them against me.

So once more, the joke is on you noob.

Whether or not they can be used against you is beside the point. That's akin to saying that dispelling a charm can be used against the offending player.

The problem is that it allows pcs to form entire groups by themselves and go to PvP. If you wanted that many NPCs maybe you should have rolled a necromancer.

I think they're stupidly overpowered. Although I sort of enjoy the RP idea, the result is way over the top.

What's really limiting EVERY single player from using these NPCs anyway?
