Bree is one of the most common fantasy names out there.

It is in three different, major story lines, and hundreds of common ones.

The town where the Prancing Pony is located in "Lord of the Rings" is named Bree. There is a talking horse named Bree, which is one of the main characters in the 3rd book, in Narina. I can go on if you wish.

I may be jaded on this subject, because I have had several good names shot down because of an IMM using google to find the obsure reference of the name, but Bree is just too damn common to let slip by all willy nilly. You can not tell me that not a single IMM recognizes the name Bree right off the bat. It just pissed me off and screams of favoritism, whether there or not.

I have to laugh because your complaint is so strident. Especially after explaining the very petty manner in which I chose the name.

I am not opposed to changing it.

But jumping off the deep end into accusations of favortism? Get a grip.

Not everyone is so hardcore nerd as you, sir.

But if you want to get into common names that slip how about: MOREA, NERINA, UXMAL, EXILE, MENEGROTH, Empire of the Eastern Star (toss Eastern Star into it and you'll see the masonic references), all the god's names are real stars, all the stones are named after norse legends, The grand general infernal (can we say divine comedy?), the black hand, The fists of the white swan (right out of an anime), Paithan's tower (Paithan
also known as The ancient city of Pratishthan, now known as Paithan, was the seat of the Satvahana dynasty who ruled from 2nd century BC to 2nd century AD. it had a huge tower where the wealth of knowledge of the city was kept), Varloch (taken from DnD Larloch, http://home1.inet.tele.dk/ihateyou/warl ... arloch.htm), most of this game is simply a derivative from much more common, prominent things than some stupid talking horse in a 3rd book or some small city in LoTR.

What ever. Unless you don't read, don't watch major motion pictures, or just don't talk to other people who enjoy the fantasy culture, there is no way you can tell me that you didn't know Bree before eating some sort of food or from a commercial. Bree is just too damn common.

It is clear you just don't care about rules nor do any level of research to support your own positions.

Then change it.

My all time favorite is still Lexington Steele.

I never did see him IC. I do wonder what his adjective was though.
:D

That was me. Only changed after people complained about it. I always wonder what kind of google search they turned up...

Oh yeah? Like you have no idea that Lexington Steele (exact spelling) is a porn star.

It is clear you have a history of name violations.

... and I am completely out of the loop. I read the LHOP books and their precursers. I read the Chronicles of Narnia books. All that other stuff never had nor will ever have any drawing power for me. I watched the 3 Tolkein movies and I thought they were good, but not worthy of watching 4 times. And I watched Waterworld over 15 times and Dirty Dancing more than 40 times.

Edit: I thought Remington Steele when I saw Lexington Steele.

You're a dork and I enjoyed killing your paladin over and over again!

Seriously, no sense of humor, at all. Pity the fool.

Really? I have only ever played 3 paladins and I rarely get pked. I am here for the RP and rarely even put myself in position to be pked.

Nice attempt at trying to say you are better then me though. Like your character names, it was full of fail.

Sound like we got a lot of work to do then. Have you sent the IMMS emails about those name violations?
