It already works this way my friend.

Ah, didn't realize. Well, good job, D!

I haven't played a class recently which relies on PE for any combat skills other than kicking, so I can't really comment on the other stuff.

Peace,
Bux

Konge's problem isn't that he doesn't have enough PE, but that he isn't getting it back fast enough. I agree with having endurance learned earlier, having skill PE costs scale with level, upping the general PE regeneration rate, allowing PE regen during combat, or any combination of these.

Refresh vials. Healers. Other PCs. There are many ways to get PE back quicker.

This is what i don't get. The PE penalty system ONLY affects low level characters, once you get past level 20-25 its not an issue anymore. Why would anyone target that group? Especially when a lot of newbies will get frustrated.

Anyway, the problem is solved with the cheap newbie friendly item. First you screw up PE system and then you repair it with the said item. Weird, weird.

My very first char was a sprite, I wondered out of ayameo's little training ground and got lost some where in the forest. I sat around for at least 3 rl hours trying to gain some move points back, I'd take two-three steps, then bam, i'm at 0 again. or 5 steps with flight. I probably just had a horrible roll but that was a horrible experience.

Couldn't newbies be outfitted with the said item? It stops working after journeyman anyway...

Plus it's a light, so non-infravision races would double benefit from that.

I think they should, OR at the very least, they should be available outside of Taslamar.

EDIT: PROFIX - make it a newbiequest reward instead of the less useful stuff that's given out now.

I don't really have a problem with combat mv costs. I liked it better when combat didn't cost mv, but that's irrelevant. Of course, my leveling technique was already declared boring.

I wouldn't mind seeing travel mv cut in half or something like that. I think for newbies, it is the travel cost above all else that hurts them. The combat costs aren't nearly as major of an issue, at least in my experience.

To clarify what I read in previous posts, a desire was made to have move trains increase move regen much like wis trains increase mana regen. I know mana trains do not increase mana regen but someone else's desire was to have move trains increase move regen.

This is not a complaint because combat mv costs never really bother me much, but there are those of us who spend upwards of 90% of my online time all by myself. There are 3 main reasons my online time is spent like that. In order of influence:
1. I play at the wrong times mostly.
2. Nobody hangs out in the inns.
3. I am not socially assertive enough.

This lack of "others" is a drawback in mv regen.

Yeah, another long meandering post with no goal. (Except I had multiple trains of thought and they all did the Back/Future III thing.)

I don't have the same problems with movement points as you seem to do, Konge.

I think at the maximum I'd burn about 3% of my movement points to kill one NPC. Seriously, I don't know why you are burning so much movement.

As for the unfriendly to the newbies argument, I think that has been used for everything. Every game is unfriendly to newbies, that's why they have that status of being a newbie. I don't think we should be overly concerned about it, in fact.

I use mood aggressive, and yeah, I burn like 2-3% tops killing a NPC.

Are you using like an epee or something stupid?
