I'm wearing some MP, max con, no hps trained, level 50 gm deep-elf necro.

Someone needs to explain how 1 spell that can be cast 3 times in 2 rounds should be this powerful:

Not even 2 rounds of battle go.

Isn't that a bit unfair? I mean seriously? even Finger of death takes like 2 rounds to cast, and it doesnt force someone to sit there and die like that. nor does it take 60%+

Imma thinkin this needs some revising, especially since hw and other spells already destroy necros.

Necros are by far the most powerful class in the game. The only thing that comes close to them is priest, imo. Bolt is the penalty that necros face for being able to solo guardians with ease and to be able to take on groups of 3+ without a great deal of concern if they wear proper equipment.

Bolt can be powerful, but it has too many powers.

-fast casting
-wtfowns the crap out of intended target
-stops fleeing


Remove the fleeing or give some reduction to power, all three is quite over the top.

It isn't over the top at all. My character Olian was created to demonstrate that necromancers are, if anything, too strong already. Deep-elves take more damage from bolt of glory than do any other race - it's why you can only play deep-elf as a pk-competitive character if you keep a huge amount of enchantments on your equipment.

Necromancers are OP, take a look at a log instead of watching newbs die 3v1 and claiming it's unfair.

Can we ban gilgon from the forums for just hijacking threads left and right? He states he's right, gives no evidence, then calls everyone newbs or idiots.

This is unproductive. I feel bolt is too fast casting and the !flee makes it too strong.

That was the topic, if bolt of glory needs tweaking, not if 'EVERYONE WAS LIKE GILGON ZOMG HE IS GOOD AT SK SO IF HE SAYS SO IT IS'

It's just not productive.

I've seen quite a few necros completely ignore BoGs with decent amount of MR.

Olian also relied heavily on tools.

Just me but I like being able to be somewhat useful without having all the hot wands/scrolls/staves. It would be nice if all casters were looked at and some of the concentrations and times adjusted to account for this.

As is one bolt will disrupt my concentration and pin me there, my only chance is a blind, which I think bolt is the same casting speed, or some tool I may or maynot possess.

Yeah necros, those who are played by the experienced, are devestating. Regular joes should be able to play the game too.

Someone's upset that he just died and lost all the eq he took from me in an afk kill, isn't he? :)

We had dozens of pages in past forum topics about necromancers being too powerful. I don't think you'll find many supporters who think that they are too weak.

My "evidence" was loads of logs posted in which one necro can wreak havoc. We all know that newbie necros will be forever owned by BoG - that doesn't mean BoG is too strong.
