I beat the final boss but that pesky bouncing ball beat me. No you would scream and stomp about think WTF I could own the most powerful thing in the game but this ball killed me? That is what it is like playing a GM necromancer.
WHAT THE HELL. You would suggest that they should be able to easily own everything? That's [REDACTED] stupid. And with the full EQ you describe, a necro wouldn't have problems with BoG. Get your [REDACTED] together.

Again Remake a necro and play it as an AVERAGE player, I bet you get your [REDACTED] handed to you on a regular basis.
Necromancers are an advanced class (and because of this, they come with a lot of enemies), if you boost them, you boost their performance cap and they become even more ridiculous in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing. Go back to playing a griffon fist shaman.
This isn't about OMFG OOC-KNOWLEDGE, anyone can get a buddy to scribe some mirror image scrolls, hell, even a weak recite of that will last you long enough for you to thoroughly eat through an atyrros and bash that paladin and put his mouth on the curb - not to mention that in the meantime you can use ... *gasp* ... SPELLS!
Necromancers are ridiculous, there is not a single one-on-one matchup which a necro will lose with a modicum of prepation on top of his undead... And please, do not forget that on top of the massive power of undeads they have an extensive and deadly repertoire of spells - something which people tend to forget in their 'o all bash'-frenzy.
In short, if you want a class that is easy to play, pick something besides a necro - and take the word of people who can, that they are by far the most powerful class in the game.
