Elementals have a timer, animates have a timer. End of story. Necros aren't getting pissed on anymore than any other class. Time to lock this down until a rational argument for necros being underpowered gets brought up, considering it's completely deviated from being about BoG.

Elemental's DON'T have a concentration cost.

Warlocks only get ONE elemental. Necros get as many animates as they can concentrate on. Your argument is invalid and therefore disregarded. The balance still exists a posteriori of my argument. QED

A solution to the problem, since there was an indicator added to elementals to let you know when they will expire, do the same for animates. Sorry to make your job harder D, but stuff like this never seems to get resolved without some work from the staff.

On the subject of eles vs animates, animates are very frail depending on the necro since it's based to their HP pool which means a hoard of animates are JUST as frail as the Deep Elf that casted them unless you have a crazy full suit of greater HP mods.

Secondly in the animates vs elemental pool, Animates have no "immunity" they can be attacked and successfully defeated by anything. Ever tried attacking a fire elemental without a high level weapon?

"A fire elemenatl is unaffected by a wraith's slice!" Elemental immunity > wraith berserk in my opinion. What's the point of having an infinite number of wraiths if one elemental can take the brunt of all their damage? Of course, this becomes moot once you unarm them since they have an energy attack fore barehands..

Moving along, Necros take a lot..A LOT of damage from BoG, H oly word, any type of light spell etc, so "souping up your gear" is a MUST. On top of that, you need any and all spells you can hold, and the difference in a GM held shield and shield from a wand would be enough to shield from quite a chunk of damage I would imagine.

Right now, if anything, necros are being hit with dual penalties, concentration AND a timer. Wraiths last 45 minutes real time. You have to be wicked fast once you start collecting undead and preparing etc. Once you start getting into more animates, then you start to feel the limits of your concentration, which is as it should be, however having too few animates is pointless as the damage and accuracy they dish out require them to attack en masse. Ever seen one try to kill a swashie or fisty? Yeah, unless you have 10+ they can tank for quite some time.

Anyways, give necros some small buff. Either remove the concentration and keep the timer,so they can focus on holding more spells, spell ward, shield etc..(which mind you spel ward takes quite a bit of a mana drain I'll remind you.) Or keep the concentration and do away with the timer that way Necros aren't a "hit and run" class.

Edit: Just a quick thought as well. For those that say to go out and find "overpowered scrolls and wands" and such, not everyone knows where to find them, and just traveling around as a Necro is dangerous because of all the squads that will insta gank you. I'm surprised though that the "destroy all darkies" PK has toned down though lately.

Elemental's HP pool is dependent on the HP pool of the warlock as well.

I was not aware of that, thank you.

-I- thought it was some weird combination-esque thing using your HP and Mana pools.

That's what I've been told.

Animates are really cool and I was SO excited to wraiths and go explore the mud like never before, so I got my army to gether got them equipped, finally got to where I was going and DROP, there went an undead, I was like WTF? Then another, then another.

Yes this undead army will rock most people PVP but when I can just get to where I am exploring and my entire army begins to fall to pieces it kind of sucks. Concentration/timer really blows. At least make the wraiths stick around long enough we can go somewhere?

I don't disagree with your point, but try gathering equipment before you animate the bodies (embalming fluid is useful).

Uh...embalming fluid isn't that useful. I tended to buy 20 hunting spears, drop them on the ground and open a rift to a portal stones, go to the place with many gm NPCs, rift to the same portal stones, kill 15mobs/make 15 wraiths (takes about 5-6 minutes) then go back through both rifts, o all get spear, o all wear all, and you're ready.
