Ok so I am leveling and I run into this NPC, I sing my songs of sleep and start to dance, I get the notification that both have taken over and the NPC is under full affect of the song, so why is it still get full attacks and dodgeing the crap out of my attacks? I take the same beating with and without the song/dance combo.

I am at full cha full art and everything else is maxed from mods, are some NPCs just immune to the song now or a bug or what?

Some NPCs will continue to get full attacks even vs GM-level songs of sleep. They will miss SLIGHTLY more than without songs. They will dodge SLIGHTLY less than without songs. One NPC I can name in specific where this can be demonstrated repeatedly is the Morean Green dragon NPC. It will get full attacks while under the effects of GM songs of sleep plus dance, and the only difference being a very small change in hit/dodge rate.

So, not all NPCs are affected by songs of sleep to the same degree, for whatever reason.

Undead, and other things are immune to songs of sleep. (I believe.)

Not undead, would expect a dragon to be as affected. Songs of sleep used to be my bread and butter.

Oh yeah, persuade sucks as far as failure rate goes, I am not seeing any improvement on it either.

Am I missing something with it?

It will take you almost the entire length of a elf's life to hit mastered on persuade. You can use it a dozen times plus per log in and log in every day, but only see an improve on it once every week if that often.

SO my mentor skill that has a really really limited range never freaking improves??????

Come on D!

That would explain why I go through about 12 NPCs before I get even one to attempt to cast a buff.

[edit] Wrong thread

Unless something has changed since I played Cal, I never had any problem mastering any of the songs.

Second, there is a formula that determines if you can affect the NPC. If lvl + bonus from cha (if any) - a number for how many NPCs are being affected is greater than NPC lvl and failed save = sleepytime

I gained two levels and my songs now affect the NPC.
