The old way, everyone using a belt container had a completely unarmored and unprotected waist. I didn't make any sweeping changes myself. Areacheck was modified to make note of the fact that the item was broken and each item was modified by someone. Now those builders may not have spent a lot of time thinking about each item. If you don't think it makes sense, feel free to typo log it.

I suppose I don't understand what's wrong with that? You can wear treasure items in any slot, I know of "head" items that aren't flagged as armor. Why not let people have unprotected waists or heads if they'd rather wear an appropriate treasure or container item in those slots?

Gotcha! Will do.

Well, if you think about the people who would be using that girth, having a belt container makes sense. I'd rather have another container on my mage/sorc than have a protected waist. I mean, if I'm hit, I'm dead no matter what.

The about the body/back slot is now the default for worn containers. Prior to the fixes, it was habitually flagged as armor even though it was never used for armor calculations. The two items types were always misunderstood by builders until I happened to notice the problem last year. This was all explained at the time, Dalamar, but I assume you weren't reading the forums at that point.

Other possibilities for container items are any of the other slots that are never used for armor calculations, such as fingers, neck and wrists. But those are small containers and have a smaller carrying capacity.

It's my opinion that making it so you can wear all your bags is not a good idea anyway. If you really want to have another worn bag that can't be easily stolen, there should be some bags around that you can hold in both hands that also have a large capacity. If not, ask a builder about the possibility of making a few, since they are permitted by areacheck.
