Apparently, either the required concentration for dancing was increased unannounced, or there's a bug going on.

Prior to this (as in, this weekend) I was able to dance and fight up to half a dozen NPCs. I haven't had a problem with dancing while fighting more than two since level 5 or 6. What's the deal?

There were no purposeful changes to concentration, dancing or otherwise. Furthermore, the changes went in on Friday - there were no changes at all during the weekend. So I'd say it is likely that the problem is specific to the situation or your character has changed in some way.

Afaik, my character has not changed at all. I haven't lost any stat points, and I've been GM for a good long while. I also tested this on other types and groups of NPCs, and the same effect occured.

Has your armor changed?
Did you have an int booster at one point and now it has gone?
Could there have been more then the six npcs in the room with you and you simply did not notice?

Unless an imm changed a piece of the armor I'm wearing (and by changed, I mean reduced the "moderate" boost to a "slight" boost), then no, the armor I was wearing did not change. I have lost no pieces. Also, even if that was the case, my char's int is still between 20-22, and that should not cause such an extreme drop in the ability to dance while combating multiple opponents.

As I said, I repeated this test with multiple different types of NPCs in different settings (some of which I know for a fact there are no NPCs flagged hidden/invis), and the results were the same: more than two NPCs v me, and no dancing for lack of concentration.

This is still broken. I get you don't like me, Dulrik, but I'm not the only one playing a bard, so you should probably not just ignore this because I happened to be the one to report it.

Additionally, I wasted a mentor point to naturally max my int, JUST in case the mods I was wearing had been altered at a build-level, and the issue is not resolved at all.

As previously stated, if you bothered to read the posts detailing the issue, but repeated again here for your laziness:

My lvl: GM
My int: 22
Lvl of NPCs: varied, from roughly 10 - 35ish in multiple tests.

Sorry, I did but I mainly was looking for # stats and not generalities. I just remembered something. It doesn't work on int. It works off of Cha. Has your cha changed?

No, maxed cha naturally since level 10ish.

And no, "can't concentrate enough" messages don't come from cha. They come from int, and I know this because they occured less frequently as I increased my int while leveling.

I know you want the world to revolve around you, but I haven't had a lot of time to do MUD stuff the last few days. Send me your character name, and when I get a chance, I will try to debug your issue.

I investigated the scenario that OA gave me which was using Songs of Silence. Everything appears to be correct. All of his stats are maxed and they are using the same values for those stats as always. Nothing has changed and I can't see why the bard would ever have been able to sing songs of silence and dance while tanking three characters.

The only thing I can think of is that OA didn't make a distinction between songs. They do not all require the same concentration. Song of silence is one of the more intensive songs. I had no problem singing lower level songs and dancing in the same situation with OA's character.
