Alright. I haven't read ANY of the things previous to this, but I do agree, it is frikin hard. I'm Master(5) with not the greatest CHA. But me and my training buddy completely took out the big tough warrior groups in the CoH plus the berserkers and what not, just not the spell casters. Then I got enlightened later, and then I just completed a quest. And I STILL haven't gotten one tick. Its really starting to make me angry.

The NPCs at the CoH were reduced in the last few months in the experience yield I've noticed. There are better places than that for that level, you should try to seek those. There's a list I put up in GD that would help. Also, if you guys can take out those groups of 4, you should head around to some islands around the outer edges of the worlds and fight some of the brutal things out there. Those have large xp yields.

You are already far past Master, so you could also just enjoy playing the game instead of concentrating so much on leveling. You could also go back and read my responses to other similar complaints and gain a greater understanding of how the game has changed.

QFT

One of the things that has been nice about SK is once you get to Champion and even Master especially, exploring and enjoying the game is very feasible. There's a lot you can just go and do and next you'll realize that you're getting a bunch of xp. Go mess around and find Frostfang, see if you can steal Radi Kenga's riches, take on the Guardians of Darkness. Get your friends to get out to the Grand General Infernal. Find the ancient dragon that dwells under Morea. See if you can master the mysteries of N'Kashya. Play with all the evil under Tethos, lurking in the hidden recesses of darkness. Try to find out how deep the dungeons of the Mountain Fortress go. Find out what you can pillage from the Sea Caves. Explore the wonders of Cain Techt.

All of these places I mentioned have NPCs that will give xp at around your level and are wicked, wicked fun to explore. Soooooooooo much hidden wonders to find out there and if people look hard enough, they sometimes discover things other people don't know about. That's where the most satisfaction and excitement comes from.

I've personally taught many people how to get to many places. I had a friend thats been playing for years now tell me he doesnt even know where the entrance to the DEEP ELF city is, said he always gated to Du'ar. I'm willing to bet if people explored some, they'd find lvling easier.

Ok, then anyone should feel free to contact me via PM with which areas I've listed that you haven't been to. I'll let you know the RL hours I'm online and we can coordinate getting our characters together for exploration. If people are having this much trouble, then I'd be glad to help out.

2 bits.

1) Can/have RP rewards been readjusted (high and low end) to match the new experience curve?
2) Can/have discoveries of new area experience (high and low end) been adjusted to match the new experience curve?

While I believe a goal of the curve change was to discourage high end solo grinding, I think the RP and area searching should still be encouraged. On that note, it seems like new areas I'm finding by mentor that are suitable for leveling don't generally give any bonus due to the larger ranges of some of the areas. Perhaps some adjustment needs to be considered where discovery isn't just based on the low end of an area range?

Just some thoughts.

I'm confused. I actually went into the Tribal Grounds that long ago and made some common sense changes that shouldn't have reduced the experience gain. Can anyone else confirm this or shed a different light?

XP per quest was already taking account of the level of the quest. Quest rewards will continue to be tweaked as we observe the new changes.

Discovery experience was already taking account of the level of the area. I don't have any specific plans to tweak this right now.

Locate object is one very important reason for any priest/sorc/necro to more or less need Grandmaster status. Especially since so many of the "elite" things out there load into the game as Godlike quality, and the ones that don't are often times enchanted to that level anyhow.
