The idea of charm person is to make the victim do what you want.. to what extent is the debate. Obviously sexual assault is out of the question. Dropping them over cities isn't okay anymore, but does that compensate for having many commands disabled? No. Quaff? Charm person already has a ninja land and now the chances/methods of escape have been tossed.

Idk what's going on but playing a sorc is looking mighty tempting these days.

Kill people you love, strip naked, give them all your stuff, and you get to sit and watch your screen as your character is turned into a NPC.

I understand that. But there should be at least a few ways out of it. I mean I was charmed and then removed from her group and she made me start killing the guards. So I can't flee, can't bash, and berserk, or anything so I'm expected to sit the as the kill me. I believe there should be some ways out of that whole mess.

What if getting ejected from the charmer's group broke the charm? Or what if getting into combat with anyone in the charmer's group broke the charm? Just throwing out some idle thoughts.

What do you want the spell in the end to be considered? That is going to determine what changes you will hear. Honestly at the moment with the change you have made it is basically a Jman level petrification. Do you want a jaman spell to have that kind of "I win" feel, or do you want it to be purely and RP thing on PC's?

Most of us have a problem with the level and the power it holds at that level.

Ejection from the group should break the charm.

Someone else said something about a chance to break the charm with each command given, I mean are you really going to strip naked for someone and hand them all your worldly possesions, knowing it's an enemy and you are going to die?

A good question that has yet to be answered.

Charm Person can best be equated as instant brainwashing. I know it's hard to think like a brainwashed person, but things of this sort can certainly happen. Where do you think the phrase Don't Drink the Kool-Aid came from? (If you don't know, click the link.)

Getting ejected would help. But still people can be more stubborn. If they don't want to be charmed they are going to fight back.

I remember getting charmed and you could try breaking it by getting into a fight with other group members. If not group members make it more annoying for them by fighting random people.

I sit here think what I did do and what I can't do now. I play a minotaur and I think they are really stubborn, hard headed, and get mad easily.

Then it needs to be a master level spell. Period.

Answer this and I am sure we can help you come up with some good answers.

Another suggestion Ardith mention is remove "Charm" call it "Enthrall' That is the way you have the spell set up, we aren't "charmed" we are absolutely dominated.

Second from Ardith bump it up to Mentor, it is just overpowered at journyman.
