I have a bit of complaint about the bondservants. I think they are overpowered. Dulrik has already said he'd like to make pets weaker, and these bondservants are not only quite strong, they aren't even pets. You can have a bondservant, dressed in full armor, with a weapon, and a powerful horse or beast.

I mean it's like every character in the game gets a dominate. It really is. I think the bondservants are rediculous. I mean I don't know what's better the bonservants or dominate. Dominate works on a lot more things but you have to spend concentration and mana to hold it. These are free of the need for mana and concentration but they are very limited. You can only have one of the three offered.

At any rate, I think in a game that is turning into a great big NPC war that I personally don't like, I think these bonservants should be removed.

You can summon the bondservants away from their masters, that makes them useless against any competent player.

Well, not every character at once.

Despite all the weaknesses, I too feel these bond servants are overpowered. While theya re an interesting concept, the fact remains is that in combat they're ordered through speech so you can literally have them perform of multitude of actions and then promptly follow it with an order to your horse or without lagging any type of spells you can cast.

Even though they are summonable, that's still one big advantage that sohouldn't be there. (The lack of order lag for their orders)

So any competent player has access to the summon spell?

Uh there are like 3 bondservants, they aren't comperable to a NPC of their class of their level, they can be summoned/killed very easily, they cost a small fortune to use. They are a limited meat shield for certain classes that need it. They aren't that hard to get. If you want one summon it, kill it, let it repop.

They are a nice thing for classes that are kind of screwed around the pet code.

-There are only three servants. One of which is near useless.

-They have limited commands.

-They are an expensive commodity

-Are lost when summoned/killed/every other day on a reboot.

-More overpowered items are much more easily accessible.

They are fine. Stop complaining. Almost every player has an NPC with them (elemental, charm, purchased pet, tame, tribunal guard). Some classes cannot function without multiple NPCs (sorcerers/warlocks). NPCs are vital to some cabal abilities.

Anyone capable in PK will know that something which can cast spells for you, help keep PE high, rescue, bash, etc is a necessity.

all 3 bond servants are barb NPCs. give them the right weapons and enchants and theres no denying they become a threat regardless. The fact that you can have one, a control / charm AND a pet plus a guard gives you a small raiding party all your own. seriously that's a bit insane there.

Imagine a necromancer using that with one or two controls and a guard NPC if they're in a tribunal. Yeah, pile on that some wraithy goodness...Yuo get the idea. They themselves may not be overpowered but the way they function is.
