Oh, we were on the same wavelength. I was commenting on the absurd idea that people are going to go to shops more to buy the junk that others sell trying to earn a little coin in the new economy. It didn't happen in the old economy system, and it isn't going to happen in this one.
Also, this idea:
Quote:
The goal is that shops that sell potions and scrolls will also buy potions and scrolls.
is even more absurd. There is literally zero point in reselling brewed vials/scribed scrolls. And even if you're just buying from one store to sell back to another store unbrewed/scribed, you'll STILL never realize a profit, and therefore would just be throwing money away to no gain.
Quote:
The things they buy will be the things they sell - and nothing else.
In addition, this is the "heart of the argument" being made here, which you seem not to have gripped. The number of shops that sell things versus the number of shops that buy things is not equal. IE, there may be four weapon shops in Nerina, but only one or two will buy weapons. Personally, I don't take issue with that, but evidently Redman does.
Quote:
I think you just argue because you enjoy disagreeing with me.
Truth be told, I despise disagreeing with you, because most often it feels like trying to explain (what should be) the obvious to my daughter when she was two. However, you continue to provide me with reasons to disagree with you, and I'm not the sort to let something ill-considered/poorly designed slide without making a case against it.
So here's the deal I offer: Stop doing things that give me cause to disagree, and I'll stop arguing. Seems pretty fair to me.
