I'd personally appreciate colors very much, it'd make combat spam much easier to follow through. It'd be fantastic if you could apply this to info lines as well. I realize there is a script for both, but not everyone knows how to set it up.

I use triggers to set up color in combat but it would be nice if SK had a build in option to customize combat color. Color helps people immensely because you can stop scanning for words and focus on the colors you see instead.

Per Peso: Would colors really help? It sounds like a joke, but I could see it being a valid suggestion. Fight spam scrolls by very fast, so sometimes only colors have time to register. A better color scheme might help people to react better to combat and thereby boost interest.

Colors would be huge in PvP. When I level, 90% of the time I have nospam all on.

And what about slowing the combat system down a bit, and proportionally increasing the rate of XP gained while leveling? That way, you have a second or two more to read the combat system, and you're not spending proportionally longer (which, will add up to the time frame of hours at least) leveling.

So what would be a popular color scheme for fighting?

I believe it is currently something like this:
Blocks/parries: green
Hits that break or severely wound a body part: red
Saving throw death: dark red
Saving throw fail: bright red
Saving throw success: yellow
Saving throw resistance: white

You take a gigantic risk in ruining the feel of SK by implementing colors, Dulrik. This thread has nothing to do with that, but just pointing it out.

Unique, or otherwise extremely coveted items, like adamantite or high level staves or whatever, shouldn't be able to be put into any kind of container. That puts an abosolute limit on what any one character can keep based on their dexterity. It's simple, and doesn't require imms looking through everyone's containers to decide who has too much and who doesn't.

If it was implemented like nospam and optional then it wouldn't be a problem.

Can there ever be a thread that stays on topic?
