If you're actually looking for someone to PK the element of surprise is the greatest advantage. If you're constantly on the defense, just always be prepared. If you're outnumbered, get the hell out and try to even things up numbers wise, then go back.

Let me be more specific.

What do you do when 12 wraiths knock at your door and kill your guardian before you can even group up? Shortly after, you are put to sleep while the said wraiths systematically kill off your half made group one by one? That is the sort of situation I am asking about I suppose...

Is this where you just bend over and re-gear afterwards?

I know you do, I had to buff you every 15 minutes. I was just giving survival tips, you ate your fair share of worms doing that. :p

Besides, I never said you couldn't do that, I simply said don't do it when things aren't stacked in your favor. If you play a sorceror or necromancer a 3v1 isn't really that outrageous considering you can easily make a group of 5 or 6 on your own and with a little trickery you can fill a group of 9. Not to mention scrolls even the battle a lot.

For a noob though, I would not recommend 3v1ing.

I'd say that cabal gate is the best resource, coupled with a pet, and a little preparation, it is actually possible to foil an attack. Get a priest or paladin to help. Otherwise, yeah. Sometimes it will be part of the RP to fight anyway, regardless of odds. There is some reward. If you succeed against greater odds, you get the victory affect. The greater the odds, the greater the victory, the longer and stronger the affect.
