Anyway, the removal of the mottled rod would be a VERY bad idea. So you spend 40 minutes preparing right? Meet Priest A* who has a crossbow. Priest A stands a room away and shoots you to the point where you have no choice but to retreat, some places this is great and all they won. You like necros assaulting cities or doing anything fun? Never again will this happen as any one person will be able to stop it since by the time the necro deals with guards in any one particular room the person will have moved to another room full of guards and continue shooting.
Basically what removing eth wands would do is...make necromancer the weakest class in the game in one fell swoop.
*Replace priest A with any class besides necro and barb.
If you really believe that then you are have no idea what you're doing as a necro, haha.
Yea okay, we've all see you 'rape people' with hoards of undead. How about this, roll a necromancer that never uses more than 6 wraiths or etherealform and see how well you do. And I don't mean attacking people unawares in Teron. Go out to Nerina, Sith'a'Niel and Exile alone with your 6 wraiths and no ethform and see how long you live if anyone bothers to defend.
Oh and there are currently 2-3 darkie sorcs, give in a month or so before they delete THEN do it.
Oh and of course since you are one of the self proclaimed "pro pkers" cut your survival time by a factor of ten for the average necromancer.
Ah, but why do I suggest this when I know your response? "As long as the system is broken I intend to abuse it to its fullest until it gets nerfed" or some load of crap like that, neglecting to test what the consequences of your proposed nerfs would be. And of course never returning to the class after the fact.
