When we compare weapons, it only tells us if it's the same, better, or worse in the three aspects (speed, damage, accuracy), but not by how much. Maybe all the vets took out their lab coats and test tubes, and tested each and every weapon type, so they know how much each is better or worse, but I would find it incredibly helpful if the compare command would let me know if it's MUCH more lethal, and only a little slower or less accurate, etc.

If this was coded in (I don't know how much work that is... prolly a lot, huh? :( ) It'd make choosing better weapons easier for newbies, thus shortening the gap (if only a little) between vet and newb, without giving any buffs.

I got off topic... I'm fine with weapon speed. But maybe I just don't know better

There's no way that coding this would take more than 30 minutes of work, assuming Dulrik wrote the code in even a borderline reasonable manner. The question is -> does he want to change this.

Gilgon would make a great coder for SK because he types so fast.

There's a list. Go to [REDACTED] and search for "weapon comparison" and you'll find it.

I don't think I'm spreading IC information here, though I could be wrong. *shrugs*

The weapon comparison list that I created has its 'speed' list messed up a bit, and I haven't put in the time to remake it. Eventually, I suppose.

Weapon speed isn't dumb. It's good. There is no way you would be able to swing a halbard as many times as you could thrust with a short sword or slice with a rapier. You have to have some kind of realistic basis to draw this fantasy material from.

No way to attack 4 times with a halberd? You need to watch more martial arts movies...spears,axes,pole arms, staffs, broadswords, all those things folks get just as many attacks with as the guy with the fencing sword, sometimes more...if their "specialized".

Lets not drag to much reality of physics into our magic.
We're not really that concerned as all katana's are two handed, but I for one have only ever seen one-handed Kat's in-game.

I make a proposal though. How about if each weapon is capable of the max attacks a class is skilled for; But each subsequent attack after the first drops in damage.

That way you have your halberd (or whatever), and it's more like CHOP!-SLice-Stab-Jab. Or for stat fans ...100%+80%+60%+40%
