Lighties are harder in general, yes. The whole Paladin discussion and the Marfik dispute come to mind.

Lightie's just another word for 'Built In PK Reason'. No one seriously plays paladins just like no one seriously plays sprites.

I'd like to know why you people think that sprites aren't played correctly. I play one and would like input on how I can rp a better sprite.

Wrong, I can think of several serious paladins.

I read everything by Paryns in the context of trollin', so I never know when it's being serious (if that ever even happens). :P

I don't know what Parnys is talking about.

I never said anyone was playing a sprite incorrectly; just that they weren't played seriously. As for paladin, show me a paladin or hellion that strictly follows their respective Code and I will personally write this post down on paper, ball it up and eat it.

"Rules are made to be broken", say the Hellion. "Fight fire with fire", say the Paladin.

On topic, I still dislike the Elf/Drow emnity and find it just makes some areas off limits to characters. Then again, I've always hated elves since I read The Hobbit so maybe I'm just typing out of my [REDACTED] here.

If you have seen my Paladin do something against his Vow, then please point it out.

Paladin Vows wrote:
Poverty:
The mercenary fights for love of gold, while the Paladin fights for love of
his god. Therefore the Paladin shall give to the church or the needy all excess
wealth in gold and material goods, holding back only what is required for
upkeep (maintenance of equipment, paying for training, and buying food and
provisions). No less than one tenth shall go directly to a priest of the
faith for the upkeep of the priesthood and the ministry, if such a priest is
available. If not, the Paladin may sacrifice such wealth to his god upon an
altar.

Chastity:
The Paladin shall serve his god with the whole heart and soul; neither the
love of man nor woman shall intervene. Therefore the Paladin shall abstain
from inappropriate contact with members of the opposite sex, to keep the mind
clear and the body pure, in worship to his god.

Honor:
The Paladin shall maintain honor above all as the ultimate sacrifice to his
god. A Paladin shall not lie, cheat, steal, seek to deceive, or flee from the
face of evil. Above all else a Paladin must maintain his honor spotless
before his god and fellow mortals alike. A Paladin should view death as
preferable to dishonor. A challenge must be issued to opponents to ensure
the fight is fair, and the matter can not be resolved by peaceful means.
A Paladin's spotless honor is their supreme sacrifice to their god.

Take your pick. My money's on Honor.
