There is a much larger hp pool on a barb than any class. The difference in trains won't cover that gap. Not even half of the gap. Generally speaking.

Barbs still viciously own mercs hardcore, especially considering that one of the 3 "most-needed-to-be-nerfed-skills-in-the-game" is one that barbarians are immune to.

Regardless, nerfs such as these should be announced. This is a problem in all muds where coders don't think a certain change matters - when to a lot of players, it does. Show some courtesy -> just because no veterans have made a brand new barbarian that trained all HP doesn't mean that this is somehow a meaningless change. Any player who has made a new barbarian in the last few weeks has gone for MR or has done or a more reasonable build (like maxing stats...).

Increasing the amount of options available to barbarians does NOT strengthen barbarians, just to clarify that point as well.

Thank you, that's what I needed to know.

I already knew that if I rolled another barbarian I would train at least 20 hp unless he was cabal'ed (And even then I would still train at least 20 HP unless it was one specific cabal.)

As it stands barbs just got a closet nerf, putting them much farther below mercenaries in the physical realm of things. MR was a pretty bad idea in the first place IMO, as it screws newbies who train it. Reducing the HP trains for them in addition is just insult to injury.

You'll never change this back, though, so it's worthless arguing: What's even worse is that you'll probably counter with the argument that barbarians still have more/equal HP compared to mercenaries even without the additional HP trains. Whatever, I'll just never play a barb again unless they're in one specific cabal.

While most classes are nerfed, the barbarian class is the class that has been improved the most since I started playing the game, directly or indirectly. I would like the barbs to be able to get more trains again somehow, but the truth is that barbs used to be much much weaker. So if you want to roll another barb just do it.

I might, but it will be Hammer if I do. Dark-aura'd barbs just get raped by Hammer characters, even with 24 HP trains, and grey aura barbs are no funsies.

How much does a point of CON give? Does each class start out with a specified pool of HP? Does the increase of HP from CON trains vary by class (will I get more HP training CON as a barb than if I was a sorc)?

You shouldn't assume that a train gives out any discrete number of points. The amount that a train gives you can be tuned retroactively for all characters. It's been done before and may be done again.

Ahh I suppose im mostly curious. I dont want there to be no mystery, but with the push towards making leveling more time consuming, it hinders personal experimentation to figure things out like this.

I laugh every time someone throws out numbers for stats and HP.
