I think that goes both ways, there, Demon. You insulted her for something that I don't think is true, maybe that's why she's insulting you for what you regard as no reason. Anyway, the issue has been resolved, so you should be pleased, as you were right. Don't be a poor winner.

Liri asked me via PM and we had a polite conversation about the topic. In my personal opinion, this is not something that warrants Liri giving up on the character, but then again it's not my character.

I would delete too, to be honest.

I thought of, organized and offered to her, a roleplay to kick start her enmity. She refused. At the end of the day, most players would rather delete a character they played as they envisioned rather than completely 180-ing after several IC decades.

I applaud characters that break the mold.

But yes, we discussed through PM, and I felt he was clear there. Enmity does not allow you to regard deep-elves with anything other than loathing. Compassion is not compatible, and resurrection is never okay. You are intended to regard their demise as an act of compassion in itself, because perhaps they will stay dead or be reborn into a non-deep-elf form.

That is appropriate elf roleplay and there is not any exception made for deeply held religious belief.

I don't know anything about enmity, except from the little snippet in the helpfile about ZOMG THERE WAS A FIGHT A MILLION YEARS AGO!!!

I'd be happy with at least a sentence of out-of-character information to guide my out-of-character decision making. Right now, if I read it correct, all three enmity files are nothing but quotes without so much as a statement saying "These are among the accepted thoughts on the elven situation. Your roleplay should validate one or more of these ideas."

Otherwise, like this thread has BEAUTIFULLY shown, we are all left to draw our own conclusions... and EVERYONE loses when we get it wrong.
