AC is an acronym for "Armor Class". It's a term harkening back to good old turntable rpgs that stood for the rating of a person's armor, and how difficult it is to hit that person. In terms of D&D, the lower the AC the better.

In SK terms, it's the general "rating" applied to different types of armor, and the HIGHER the rating the better. For example, say an unarmored person normally has a low class - a fully armored adamantite armored warrior has a high class. It's more difficult to hit a fully armored warrior in adamantite than the other. This is what happens whenever you see a message about a blow being deflected by a piece of armor.

I don't think there's any class or creature that can't hit an unarmored person in SK. Well, unless you were using a weapon outside of your class/punching with an untrained self-defense skill, maybe.

Old AC worked like this. New AC works oppositely. I.E., higher is better.

OA was referring to DnD AC, not SK AC.

I'm sorry, I should have said "REAL D&D", not this pansy crappy D&D you young whipperschnappers play these days. Stupid 4th edition and playable tieflings, and non-playable gnomes.
