Here's my two cents. Not all of it may be spot on, but it's what I've learned. I'll be happy to be corrected, if anything here is wrong.

1. General tips every PK'er should follow no matter class/race
Having a pet behind you, however, can be your best friend. Certain rogue abilities will not work when the person is in direct combat, and other abilities do not work if someone is behind you. This is when knowing your enemy, and what they can do to you, is your best friend. Even spell casters can be saved by having a pet behind them.
2. Mercenary -- Tips for PK'ing one, and using one
Masters of melee. Skilled in most (if not all) the weapon skills, and can specialize in up to two different ones for increased efficiency. Others will have good tips on how to use one of these well.
3. Swashbuckler -- Tips for PK'ing one, and using one
Dual weilders. Not as effective in melee, but certainly have their perks. Very good "n00bie PKer" class. Helped me learn a lot.
5. Priest -- Tips for PK'ing one, and using one
Always effective healers. They're great support PKers, but with the right mix and preparation, any faith can be an extremely effective PKer. Not easy to do for the inexperienced, but doable with practice and prep.
6. Paladin -- Tips for PK'ing one, and using one
Solid warriors of evil. Lack the melee makes them ineffective against most classes. Very stat dependent.
7. Hellion -- Tips for PK'ing one, and using one
A master (like the rogue) of surprise. Solid abilities, but very stat dependent.
8. Shaman -- Tips for PK'ing one, and using one
Great support PKer. Between healing, sanctuary, and maledictions, they can help make a group a formidable enemy. Still solid solo, but not as solid as they used to be.
10. Scout -- Tips for PK'ing one, and using one
Ranged combat, IMO, is underrated a bit. A scout can be incredibly good, but they require more prep time than most classes for the same efficiency. Don't count them out, in solo or in group.
11. Bard -- Tips for PK'ing one, and using one
Probably the most lethal support class. Not sure how effective they are solo.
14. Necromancer -- Tips for PK'ing one, and using one
Very good class for those that take the time to prepare. By far, (I think) the most prep intensive class, but the most lethal in PK. Lots of strengths to counter lots of weaknesses. Not for the faint of heart.
I left the races out. I am not as comfortable with them to give general info.
