Not sure if this is a bug, should be looked at or is fine as is:



I read the new stuff about remove compulsion and how cancellation was tweaked etc after this happened. It was controlled and was in the back row just casting during combat; sleep, magic missile sometimes, color spray occasionally, then... cancellation on itself? Also it cast the spell once and was freed, did it just get really lucky or do NPCs act different?

No idea if this is even an issue so figured I'd post it anyways.

The NPC got lucky. I also agree that this is very funny.

It will also occasionally cast flight on an animate if I have one.

If this angel was charmed, why was it casting in the first place? Last I remembered, charmed creatures didn't cast unless you specifically ordered them to do so. Is that what you meant by this being a bug?

Charmed NPCs cast all the time without being ordered to do so, unless that was changed recently. I thought they were supposed to.

Charmed NPCs aren't supposed to have free-will to do these things without orders any more than a PC could. Is this something that I broke when I made all the other charm changes around the beginning of this year?

Its undead, so controlled.

Perhaps its working differently to Charm? Please don't make it so you can't take controls over fly-only areas too

Hm that wasn't what I meant by the bug but I suppose if it is not supposed to be casting on it's own at all then ya, this is a bug!

Although, why wouldn't it be able to protect its Lich master by any means necessary, assuming it has high enough int to cast (it can't even cast fly on two things as it stands now and flight is a low concentration spell right?).

If you have to change it fine, but I'm going to lean out there and say please don't, necros already got the wimp bat as far as I can tell.
