First off, I would like to say that I am not asking for a number here.

Just something that tells me how well defended my arms, legs, etc. are.

Lacking that, what about the ability to see which items slots I don't have something equipped in?

For humanoid characters there are: two finger, two neck, symbol, body, head, legs, feet, hands, arms, body, waist, two wrist, two hands. I am not sure for griffons and centaurs.

I don't think that there is anything that can tell you how well a particular area is defended outside of identifying the material and quality of each item. Though I could be wrong on this. Then, you have to take into account other things, like the damage on each piece (I believe), and some spells like magical vestment may play into things. Though someone with more experience on this may come and blow me out of the water.

I wouldn't mind a toggle-able option to display all slots all the time and just have <none> listed where you aren't wearing items. I have walked around for days not wearing a piece of my set and not realizing it.

That would be useful. It would also help to have it auto-enabled for those that answer yes to the true newbie question during creation.

But now I'm curious about the slots for griffons, centarus, maybe minotaurs too...what slots do they get? I've not any minotaurs outside of a training area with my character, and only interacted with one griffon and two centaurs, so not really familiar off the top of my head.

From what I remember: Minotaurs get everything but a headslot and they get one set of horseshoes instead of boots. Centaurs get everything but two horseshoe slots instead of boots and barding (fairly new addition which is supposed to be difficult to come by) instead of leggings. It's been a while since I've rolled a griffon, so I'll leave that to the more knowledgeable.

Griffons have four jewelry slots: wrist and neck; the container slot: about body, and one armor slot: waist. They also have innate toughness to help counter their lack of eq slots.
