I feel bad if this was me... I try not to be overly pushy, but Ahmara is a pertty... generous person.

I am fine with that and I don't think there should be any drastic changes. It would be nice, though, if during the creation process we were offered a toggle or opt in/out question for the mentor system. If you answer no to “Are you new to Shattered Kingdoms?” then add another question inquiring if you wish to participate in the mentor system. If you answer yes to “Are you new to Shattered Kingdoms?” then you would automatically be opted in as these are the players that would really need the help.

Simpler than that: the suggestion should be if a player answers the question "Are you new to Shattered Kingdoms?" as a "No" then do not send an XXX has enrolled in training message to all available mentors.

Isn't this how it is supposed to work?

Veterans/Newbies alike would still be able to manually request. Just turn off the notification based on that question.

And by the way, if you were that caster who rolled in the North yesterday or the day before it was my character who demanded you identify yourself. That's not being 'pushy b/c of mentor pts' - that's running a city/country/whatever with an iron fist. There's a difference between a random mentor foisting themselves on you and a tribunal leader wanting to know who you are and making sure you get off to a good start. Doesn't scale well and it isn't supposed to, that's how it is right now.

No clue what you're talking about.

I swear, you people look way too far for things to complain about.

It's simply a suggestion on how to improve the game. I figured I'd try Shattered Kingdoms again, since I've already secured gladiator on WoW for season seven.

However, I quickly lose my motivation to be bothered with a text game when you get e-stalked from the moment you create a character by an overly aggressive mentor fishing for free stat trains.

Your entire thread is ridiculous beyond tweaking the automatic Mentor-like tell that players get when a new character is created in their kingdom.

"Waah! People are trying too hard to help me! Waah!"

Some people just have to complain about everything because they think they know best. Amusing that you are making suggestions when as you say, you don't have a clue what you're talking about.

Classic attributional error. "Because this happened to me, it must mean that this is how it always is!" Classic fail.

And, if you don't want to deal with other players, then don't send out a freaking beacon for help with the mentor command.

There's a beacon sent out upon creation. That's probably why he got spammed with would be aid. The simple solution, already mentioned, would be simply to not have that beacon put out if you answered that you are not new in the creation hall. You can always use the mentor command to ask for one at the time that you do wish for mentors to aid.

Let me explain it slowly and clearly, you slack-jawed, knuckle-dragging halfwit, since you are of such a low gene pool you can't grasp the concept on your own. When you create a new character, it automatically sends a message to any player within the kingdom that is mentor status or greater.

A player creating a new character doesn't have an option whether the message is sent to potential mentors. I'm simply asking that veteran players that indicate they are not new players during character creation have the option to opt out of the mentor message being sent.

Was that slow enough for you, [REDACTED]?

Check this out. Learn to read gasbag. What did my first post on here say? The one that you quoted in it's entirety and said you didn't understand?

That's right.

Learn to post and quote properly. Otherwise you're just taking the [REDACTED] on the entire pbase - not, I might add anything new coming from you. Holier than thou - GO!

EYAM GLADIATOR!!!!

Now its the girls' turn to watch jello wrestling. Or maybe KY Jelly wrestling, like in Old School. I have no clue what any of them look like, though.

I have quoted you properly and eviscerated your feeble attempt at a flame. Your last post clearly stated the following:

Are you really this dense? Even Cannibal tried to explain it to you. As a newly created character, you do NOT get an option whether the beacon is sent to potential mentors. My post asks only that veteran players get an option to opt out of the message being broadcast after creation.

Feeble attempt at a flame?

That is hilarious! Your 'knuckle dragging [REDACTED]' flames are so 1999.

You must not have your coke-bottle gamer geek glasses on because you can't count, as well as read. FIRST POST. Not "last post." LOL
