I'll buy that a more law-abiding version of unprincipled merits a different alignment. I just would never have associated that viewpoint with the help file for dogmatic.
Maybe the help file emphasizes a love of order a little too much? For example: "Dogmatic characters hold the rule of law and order in the highest esteem" doesn't really fit with the mercenary spirit described. Following rules because of general trust of authority and personal convenience is different than being a zealot for rules.
Perhaps "hold discipline and obedience in high esteem" would get the idea across better?
