They're really cool (Hey, there's even a note from Shandraelle down there), but they suck hardcore for xp.

I'm serious. At that status rank you can go anywhere else and get double the experience per NPC with less hassle. But the fact that at level 8, I can kill two tough challenge NPCs at dynamic CHA with some spell damage thrown into the mix and not gain a tick is pretty much ridiculous, as most other places will give 1-2 ticks per NPC or more under similar circumstances.

You should up the exp for those NPCs: Not because it will help my leveling (Because it won't really affect me, or most other players at all) but because all the new players who go to level there will be totally disappointed that the very first place they go after the training halls is so slow for getting experience. It's also much more dangerous than every other place at that level which also gives more xp. Crap, there's even aggro NPCs.

My two cents.

The sewers are just fine for XP, and the only characters who have problems with the aggro NPCs are spellcasters, who should've figured out the "Get a pet" thing by the time they left the newbie areas. I've levelled each of my characters in the sewers, and never had a single problem, or complaint.

My first character, a priest, did not learn about pets until expert status.

I totally agree with the OP. Exile sewers are pretty useless.

Turon has a point. I've levelled a lot of characters lately and the few that I've taken to exile sewers learn so horribly slow compared to say..The coliseum or the cleft near nerina. Seriously, the familiarity climbs like a rocket lifting off and the experience you get isn't even that much. It's a cool area. The fecal demons make me chuckle every time. (Speaking of which, why are they called demons and not daemons like the rest of such? Is there a difference.)

But yeah, the experience there is a joke. It seriously needs to be tweaked.

I always skip the sewers because the xp from them isn't worth it.

I've made adjustments that should fix the problem. It might make the area more challenging, but it will grant an appropriate amount of experience. I would imagine that the experience gain here was terrible because of the bug I found.
