You really don't see a problem with "Bards aren't imba, just get another bard..."

And while we're on the subject of bards and tribunal NPCs, why have we never seen a tribunal bard NPC?

It exists, but they cease to sing after ~2 lines, for some absurd reason. Persuade can be fun on a tribunal NPC, though. Go guardians!

And someone finally made a thread for this bard nonsense so you can stop derailing this thread. Pests!

Good idea, I didn't think about those possibilities :D

No, I don't. It's like saying "Healers are imba, so nerf them". How about getting a healer yourself? Bards are exactly for this: Utility and giving big advantages to GROUPS. If your opponents have a bard in their army, you should consider getting one yourself, instead of whining. Wouldn't you do the same if they had a tank/healer and you didn't?

There is no logic in SK, only people that QQ the most get what they want.

You can't just "get another bard." That's ridiculous. People don't just roll bards and GM them just because you need to "get one yourself."

The mc sorc was wimped a bit awhile back so that he doesn't cast nearly the spells he did when first implemented. GS/haste are useful but anything else with him gets you in trouble more often than not.

The giant legionnaire doesn't assist which I always found to be incredibly annoying. It's a bigger annoyance than you'd think when you're behind him and people are stabbing you and he's just sitting their yawning and you can't order because you're tripped.

You can order when you're tripped/bashed. If the command doesn't go through it's for some other reason like miscommand. Ex. o giant bash when the giant isn't in melee. Instead of o giant bash enemy. The Hand npc's are similar in practice (not always assisting). It is situational and strange sometimes. Should get fixed.

No guard NPC in the game auto assists PC's: They only auto-assist other guard NPCs. Every now and again a guard NPC will initiate combat when only PCs are engaged, but more often than not they just sit there and scratch their heads.

It's really screwy. You have to order them to attack in most situations: If another guard NPC in your group engages an enemy though, they always auto assist.

The Midnight Council's abilities are actually terrible compared to the rest of the mud.

In fact I find that the master level spell is laughable compared to the power that another cabal gets that totally stole the concept from the master level spell. The item creation ability is terribad considering that every piece of equipment *must* have greater magical resistance on it. The tribunal NPCs are terrible, and the other two abilities make me scoff. In fact, I think the Midnight Council has the best potential for being a great cabal due to the fact that one can't join to be overpowered.
