Yeah that's what I'm saying. Can you prove me wrong?
(Might mean you have to research instead of taking a break)
Fantasy and roleplaying games are based on stories and imagination explaining how things came to be. Follow stories back far enough and you get to religion and mythology.
Why shouldn't those spells be considered necromancy? Someone is dead. They are made to be alive. If that isn't black magic I don't know what is. Especially since raise dead has a (temporary) timer, and there is no such timer on raise/resurrect.
Necromancy is only evil if it is someone elses religion?
Roleplaying stories may be based on mythology, but they have evolved into an art form of their own where anything is possible.
Now, if I were to indulge myself and follow your mythological/religious hypothesis and consider the notion of resurrection I would most certainly be assured that it is in fact NOT a form of black magic or necromancy. Unless you're trying to tell me that Jesus came back as a mindless, brain-eating zombie.
Regardless of that, you need to stop comparing SK to myths, religion, etc. it is a world of its own, with its own philosophies, doctrines, religions and even natural laws.
