All that bad stuff you mentioned... isn't it already happening now?

Aren't players who have strong community contributions specifically sighting that bad stuff in their afterlife posts as they walk out the door?

Yes, this true. I do think people twink as it is and people do take advantage of the system and other players/users to gank others unnecessarily. There is plenty of bad things going down in the game. However, I personally think that this would be a very temporary solution. I could be completely wrong, but I think people would be able to take advantage of the game even more than they do now.

Again, I could be wrong though.

I could not agree more with that statement. If they aren't changed to be able to play all classes, then at least add in shaman and sorcerer. They can be priests and warlocks, but not shamans and sorcerers? How does that make any sense? The only argument I've ever been given for this is that being able to voodoo, and then hide, was too overpowered.

Well, now that voodoo has undergone a very significant nerf/wimp/alteration/whatever you want to call it, I think it's time they were given the shaman class. I have yet to hear a valid reason for why halflings cannot play sorcerers, though. Let alone any of the other classes they cannot play as. If anyone, Imm or not, has any reasoning behind this, I would love to hear it. I LOVE the halfling race. They are just an all around great race to play as. Hell, I'm playing as one right now.

Once again, though......this thread has gotten off track......grep! Just kidding .

Halfling sorc would be a pretty weak combo.

Well, every race has a class combo that would suck. How many dwarf rogues do you see? Or gnome mercenaries? I know I have heard of a couple here and there, but let's all be honest here. They were rolled to be either a joke, or to see whether it could actually work. I assure you that 98% of them did not last long.

I think what grep was getting at is that halflings are little humans. Humans can be any class they choose to be. Now, granted they don't get an attribute bonus like humand and half-elves do, but still. There is little to no magical foundation to a halfling. They're little humans, no matter which way you cut it. Since humans can be any class, why wouldn't a halfling?

In my honest opinion, I do not see how a halfling sorcerer would be that weak. A elf has a lower wisdom capacity than the halflings, and they can be sorcerers. Half-elves have a lower starting intelligence than halflings, and they can be sorcerers. Being given sneak and hide, not to mention a bit of innate magical resistance, is not that bad of a bonus for a sorcerer seeing as how they would be given invis, infravision (which is as good as gold if you ask me. Having to set up aliases for hiding just so you can take off glowing items very quickly is a pain. Let alone relying on scripted items or herbs.), and so on and so forth would be great. At least I think so.

I'm not saying that if they changed it, that day I would roll a halfling sorcerer. I just think that I agree with grep that they should have the option. Just like humans. Half-elves can, and I think halflings are close to humans than half-elves.

Feel free to disagree with if you like, though.

I would be down with them being given access to all classes.

Builders can make that change, right?

Right?

Oh my God I'm going to be so happy if I can finally roll a halfling paladin.
