The biggest problem in this thread is that race combo balance has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Baldric's premise is inherently flawed, which leads to a faulty conclusion. The change that disallows you from hiding while wearing glowing items didn't only affect humans. Furthermore, being as I was around when the change happened, I can say with absolute certainty that it had nothing to do with balance and everything to do with realism.

Except that making infravision less useful obviously makes races without infravision stronger.

Still can't figure out what you're trying to say. It's better for realism and gameplay the way it is, so there is no conflict between gameplay and realism, but you keep acting as if there is.

First off, I'm not a she. I'm actually a he. Secondly, I still disagree that humans are the best race in the game. I never said that you started this discussion about humans in the first place. I'm not going to admit this is an argument, because I do not wish to argue on any level. I am here to have fun and enjoy myself. So far, you have been the only one to react poorly. If you are going to remove the fun factor from the forums and it's benefits, then I can ignore you or stop participating in the forums. Either way, I think that is a bit of shame for you to try and induce such an outcome in someone.

I have my own opinion and I never said my opinion was the only correct one, let alone the only one. I've made certain this was clear in posts more than once. That is why it is called an opinion. You can say that I don't understand what I'm talking about all you want, since that is you're opinion (and you seem to be the only one with this opinion so far as I can tell). If so, I would like some sort of backup to this statement if you want to press the matter. How am I not understanding what I'm talking about? If do you not wish to press the matter, then drop it.

It seems to me that someone feels backed into a corner and caught in their own illogical statements. As far as I can tell, Sakhul has given nothing but mentally sound and legitimate statements and responses. Everyone else seems to think so, as no else other than yourself has disputed them. I also happen to sense a bit of hostility in your post, as it reeks of the desire to verbally assault others for disagreeing with you. I have, for the first time in a long time, been thoroughly enjoying myself while participating on the forums. I post constantly. If you happen look over all the posts grep and I have had over the past few days (at least), you will come to see we had a great interaction and managed to respectfully disagree on certain topics. I had a blast interacting with grep. If you're unable to do this, and maintain one's level-head and maturity, then please do not post at all. This is the gameplay section of the forums, not general discussion.

Was arguing with what Sakhul said, not what you said. Meaning that I haven't attacked your opinions or insulted you or done anything that you should be offended by. Not everything is about you. Sakhul is a big boy and can handle me being a little rough with him. I'll remember not to treat you similarly.

I can handle being treated roughly, so there is no need for you to pull any punches if need be .

I assure you I was taking no offense to what you were saying. I just have very little patience for people who act or speak without any logic or intelligence (I'm not saying this is you). I am willing to admit that there was a combination of the post being a bit vague and me misunderstanding who you were referring to. If I took your post in the wrong way, fair enough. This is exactly why I responded the way I did. In a calm fashion.

Baldric is right. I am the one who jumped in, right or wrong, with the human race argument. I still think it would be a buff to humans if you took away the hide, camouflage glowy thing. I know Zecha's a sorc but I love scouts too so I do have some experience with the problem. Just my perspective.
