Should you still be able to hide while wearing ONE very small glowing item?

Baldric is right. I am the one who jumped in, right or wrong, with the human race argument. I still think it would be a buff to humans if you took away the hide, camouflage glowy thing. I know Zecha's a sorc but I love scouts too so I do have some experience with the problem. Just my perspective.

Fair enough.

I'm quite a far of scouts as well. I think I've probably rolled at least 4 or 5 scout (not all were druids, mind you, lol) in the past several years that all made it to at least Master or Champion, if not Grandmaster. I don't think my initial idea would go over so well with camouflage. If we really want to go a bit deeper, having to camouflage oneself would require different methods than just diving behind a rock and hiding. As for hide, I knew it was a weak argument to begin with, thus why I didn't push too hard. I just thought it might make a bit more sense when it came to a realistic point of view. That's all.

I thought it was my job to go overboard talking about hypothetical builds.

Furthermore, being as I was around when the change happened, I can say with absolute certainty that it had nothing to do with balance and everything to do with realism.

Still can't figure out what you're trying to say. It's better for realism and gameplay the way it is, so there is no conflict between gameplay and realism, but you keep acting as if there is.

You're completely missing my point, I'm not talking about a conflict between gameplay and realism, I'm talking about the reason why this change was implemented.

So you're saying that things are the way they are now as a result of a desire for realism?

And when you said that you "side with gameplay" you meant that . . . things shouldn't be the way they are? So you agree with tr33hugg3rs suggestion?

I don't think my reading comprehension is the issue here. I think you might need to learn to ABC, though.

In this instance I'll side with gameplay, rather than irrelevant realism.

I totally forgot I said that, my bad.

When I say gameplay, I wasn't referring to the balance between race/class combos or the powers of certain classes between others, I was referring to the ease of playing without thinking about lame crap like shovels that really add nothing to the game.
