Neat experiment.

I would like to see how that would play out.

The real deterrent to GMing him was that he was never a main, and my other spec was flamberge. Without armor (since he wasn't a main), it's hard to level with a flamberge, and without a halberd of better than tanso steel, it's hard to level to GM because most things to level on beat up your weapon.

Oh! another fun idea if my other fun idea didn't fly with some people. Instead of a risk to the person that dispels an elemental, how about a reward to the warlock. By dispelling an elemental before it's time to return to it's plane of existence, said elemental breaks down and fuses it's power to the warlock, turning him into a partial elemental himself. Human Torch!!! Aqua Man!!! Thing!!! Can't really think of a wind based super hero/villain.

That's an awesome idea.

Perhaps the warlock becomes untouchable for a short period of time, as he himself becomes made of air?

Just have all elementals scripted to voodoo and final strike on dispelling. Works for me.

Warlock Optional Dispel or dispelled elemental gives the following abilities to the Warlock:

Earth Elemental - Bonus to CON for a limited period of time.
Water Elemental - Bonus to Mana regen for a limited period of time.
Air Elemental - Ethereal for a limited period of time.
Fire Elemental - Flame Shroud*

*Flame Shroud = When struck in combat a percentage of the damage is done to the attacker, also 1/2 all flame type damage to the Warlock during this period of time.

Done.

Reminds me of the old Demonic Sacrifice talent for WoW warlocks (like 1% mana per tick from sacrificing your anti-magic pet and going without one.) I really miss that one.

It was such a yawnfest though. When your DPS rotation consists of CoA, shadowbolt, shadowbolt, shadowbolt, shadowbolt, shadowbolt, shadowbolt, shadowbolt, it gets boring.

At least I think so.
