I have no idea what Chem is talking about, but I doubt it's Spell Ward. Sorcs and Necros both get that, and it gives you MR.

But it is the only spell i can think of that is a "force field" type spell that can only be cast on the caster.

Only thing that comes to mind, and that's just the Shield spell.

The fact he included the phrase 'made public' suggests that it probably isn't something most of us would know about. Some of you just post to inflate that little post metric near your forumid.

Sorcs don't really need anything to replace final strike. Take away final strike and they're still top of the food chain.

Sorcs can already get past most doors via charm or etherealform. There are only a couple places that have locked doors that can be picked but can't be walked through via etherealform or bashed that are in no-summon areas that require you to go through no-magic rooms first.

Force Field blocks one (or multiple, can't remember) exits out of the room it is cast in, if I recall correctly.

There is no such thing as a "force field". You are thinking of a different spell, which thankfully isn't available on NPCs.

The only thing I've ever seen that could come close to what we're talking about I saw in a log when the feathered dragon and the midnight dragon had their global RP session. I don't know if I dare speak of it, because I know it's an Imm only spell. The only I one I know, I believe. However, it wasn't really a force field....but a circle type....well...thing. I'll just leave it at that.

Ah, possibly. I've never seen it on SK, just other DIKUs.
