I wouldn't suggest "average" groups going there because they don't bother investing time in enchanting their gear or anything like that. As for vets and people that actually do invest time in their enchantments so they don't get wrecked by spells - I have lead a group of 4 through there although it was a bit of a grind since we didn't have a ton of damage output to handle the NPCs fast enough.

IMO anything more than 5 is asking to get yourself killed. Unless you have Baba with you. Then the NPCs just run away from screaming in terror "Oh [REDACTED]! It's Baba!" Even the boss NPCs [REDACTED] their pants and just hand over their lewt for fear of deflecting of his aura of awesome.

True story.

Yeah, I get that the people who invest the most time into enchanting, etc probably ought to get the fruit of their labor - the cool loot, herbs, pets, whatever.

But I wish I could just kinda look around sometimes, genuinely EXPLORE without looking for anything.

then why not take 10 minutes out of your play time to throw 5 enchants on a piece of your EQ? In a week you will have a suit that won't be awesome, but enough to keep you alive. Then you can go explore those place with people when they ask.

Dude, of course I have 5 enchants on my gear. At least on my main. It's definitely still not enough, and no one ever asks me anyway.

I'm all for player Gear Score, so I don't get stuck with people with crappy unenchanted equipment!

Gear Score will only further discourage end-game participation by making everyone more acutely aware of the significance of an the effects an instantaneous junk command.

Oh.

I don't SK everyday. I have a pretty taxing job, and a lot going on in general with a baby on the way and a new house. My suit is enchanted well anyway, but I'm never going to be the sort of person who spends an hour to get ten specific types of an enchantment on one piece of armor. Ever. That's called grinding, and I don't do it.

I play SK for fun. Fun would be exploring the Dreamscape. Grinding would be having to have a perfect suit/perfect group to do so without dying.

I don't really think enchantments matter that much in dreamscape unless you are the tank.. There aren't many npc's there that do massive room/group damage like there are in the citadel. And if you are worried about that it's nothing a few extra heal vials couldn't take care of.
