The new IMMs must be approved by Dulrik for sure.

They have a habit of taking the games best players and making them IMMs which robs the games of those rich players and they in turn get burnt out on IMMing and quit the game all together. It's a vicious endless cycle which has seen the end of the likes of Eur0, Will, Sklz, Wert, and many others who were excellent players who I still wish played.

Agreed. Achernar was a great player. I still remember Ensley his druid sprite shaman, He showed me the D'aste camp for the first time. It was real refreshing to have a player who was willing to teach me about the game and show me areas instead of having another oldbie trying to run me off.

I won't get into what I think of one of the people on the list there, who even as a newb I managed to pk a couple times and I don't consider good let alone one of the best.

I agree that alot of the talent gets pulled from the game and put on the imm staff and much of it burns out there and never comes back. Alora is another that comes to mind. She was a very creative player who got chewed up by the pbase and spit out when she became an immortal.

While we are on the topic, Let me just say that I have played this game for sure nine years, and it may be ten, and I've never been effed over by the staff. Never. I've been mistreated one time and that was simply putting my char in hell for a rediculous duration ( 1 irl week) for accidentally saying Law NPC IC. No curse, no deletion, just a bad reason for helling me for a rediculous duration.

I hate it when people [REDACTED] the staff out or accuse them of cheating or favouring people all that. I've played alot for possibly a decade. If that was going on I'd have seen it. I can't possibly be that much of an outsider that it wouldn't reach me consider the amount I play and the years i've put in.

That being said, let me also say this. If I haven't been made an imm by now I never will be, and at this point, considering the work I do ( I could pack up and leave for a long time at any time), and my lack of knowledge of how to build on muds, I wouldn't be able to be an imm so I am not brown nosing.

I'm sure my interest will eventually return.

That is what I keep thinking every time I come back.
It kind of feels like I am playing in the shadows of what the MUD once was.
Sad, because I have so many fond memories of people and places in the game.

I know not everyone is crazy about the PVP aspect of the game, but truthfully that is what kept me interested.
I must say though, now that I am getting closer to 30 and further from 15 when I started, I am enjoying RP a lot more. 8)

On a positive note, all the changes I have notice thus far are pretty kick [REDACTED].

I hope we get a nice surge of new blood and even some oldies returning.

Even if others don't want to admit, I will, SK has by far been the greatest game of my life.

To me waning interest is a month where I don't get over 60 hours between character and IMM hours. So, I'm still around, just trying not to go over the burning out edge.
