Isn't there a log of her lightning bolt hitting you for 10% at like..veteran? Is a GM lightning bolt going to do 40% damage or something to Antiira?
Lightning bolt has wicked variable damage.

As a GM with Pyras, my magmas did 11% damage to Feanor when he had RE, Sanc, and Protection. However, it took him (with giant strength, haste and frenzy) 10 rounds to kill my sanc'ed elemental. Now, if I had rolled elf instead of centaur (sucktacular warlock race), I could have killed him with relative ease as long as my elemental didn't miss a bash. Feanor, a guy who had pretty much maxed out everything in the way of buffs, enchants, weaponry, consumables, everything, and all I was wearing was some crap mithril.

Warlocks don't need more offense, they need more DEFENSE on account of the huge holes in their defense: Namely, that they're the only caster that has to go second row a lot, stone skin doesn't work against magical weapons and their elementals are easily dispelled. If anything, warlocks should be buffed by having
A) stone skin work against magical weapons, maybe at half capacity, but only at GM, (Or only self-cast, some way to keep stone skin from wands and potions to work against magical weaponry, that would be too much of a buff to other wand classes)

B) have stone skin block dirt kick (Again, only if self-cast).

C) If the dispel check against elementals worked against the warlocks' will save that would be a nice change to the fact that currently warlocks are the only class that's so close to max capacity naked as they are when fully kit out, and also a great buff to warlocks against dispelling classes.

D) If a warlock elemental is killed or dispelled, reset the timer to 5 ticks regardless of how close it is to returning.

E) Offensively, maybe have magma ignore the "magical resistance" of magically resistant races.

Honestly, I'd think that lightning bolt and harm are along the same level of lethality as far as damage over time goes, but warlocks ALSO get magma for people who are enchanted out the wazoo (Or who have built for MR.)

This is, of course, all ignoring the fact that warlocks still get the best group healing spell in the game, the best ranged spells in the game, and wands.

On this topic..Stone-skin, Ironguard and Resist Elements take /way/ too much concentration.

And RE honestly only seems useful to...people who aren't warlocks. What the hell is with that.

*boggle* it's useful to warlocks who are being attacked by other warlocks.

Yeah. Because that happens ALL THE TIME.

What dumb warlock is going to cast magma on another warlock?

That's like..making a spirit doll of a shaman.

No they don't. They're pretty much spot on considering that conjure elemental isn't a concentration skill.

If anything they drain too much mana.

And RE is pretty nice when fireballing or chaining your own room.

I would BREW your own IG, keep stone skin up VIA cast, and brew your own RE, nub.

Or just get IG and RE staves. Jeez.

This is why self-cast, or something need a buff.
