I'd help you out, but I'm currently assisting Mira with the her awesome new area.

Allowing heroes access to more scripts similar to the ones in the Coliseum would be awesome.

Work with the system we currently have. Your demand above comes off as either an ultimatum or a tantrum, neither of which would encourage us to trust you with more rights than players currently have.

Grep, there is an old saying:

You catch more flies with honey than vinegar

The first post might be considered slightly stand-offish given your self-imposed reputation. Your second is without a doubt vinegar.

Grep, you're clearly a very intelligent person, but honestly you're the only person I've considered using the "foe" feature of the forums on, for the exact reason that Rennus just mentioned.

I used the forums, a system in place, to express the fact that the current system's lack of official process and assurance of results don't present an attractive option based on what it would cost to use it. I never even mentioned the plagiarism and intellectual property issues, because I thought the forums were starting to get less catty.

Then you show up with your shortsighted accusations.

Back off, HTFU, and add me to your enemy list if you've got a personal problem, kid. I can count the number of publicly identified active immortals capable of sponsoring projects on one hand, and many of those are known to be busy. That's not whining nor trolling nor demanding. That's just the facts.

If you don't like them you should do something about it other than taking cheap shots at me when I bring it up. That something would probably most likely involve doing what I suggested in the first place, adding more routes to add more people to the short lists.

Besides, I wasn't aware I needed your trust in order to have more rights than players currently have. I thought Dulrik made the decision. The process is undocumented.

I love my grep, but a logical check needs put into place:

Taking a one-line sentence advising that your tactics will get you nowhere as a cheap shot is a very Jardekian method of perceiving persecution where none exists. You want it documented, it was documented for you: your tactics will get you nowhere. There was zero derailment as it was a direct response to your request, which is directly relevant to the thread. No insults, cattiness, nor accusations: his second sentence was qualified as a "comes off as," asserting only observation. Your abrasive rebuttal to two sentences of objective assessment is illogical, overbearing, and tactless if you actually are looking for a constructive result. An observation of tone and a statement of fact does not a cheap shot make.

Rennus: It's funny, but try the actual experiment. Vinegar actually (really truly) catches more flies than honey. That fact has just layers of mind-blowing on it.

Vinegar is effective in a lot of circumstances. It even could have been effective if appropriately utilized. I'm a big believer in vinegar, myself. However, unreasoned abrasiveness disproportionate to the prompt gets you nowhere. grep, I suggest reading your post back to yourself in the voice of an angry Fran Drescher, and read Viltrax' to yourself in the voice of Treebeard from LOTR. Perspective and fun at the same time. It might not be what either of you intended, but intentions only go so far in actual perception.

If the benefits to being a hero are going to make the hero better at pk then it should be possible for someone else to pk them and become hero. You can say, "oh but some people are big on pk and still have the right to be heroes," and that would be a valid point. Then in that case they wont be needing any of the benefits that make them better at pk.

It is an idiom, it means that it is easier to persuade people if you use polite arguments and flattery than if you are confrontational.

If you like vinegar that is great, good on a variety of foods and helps digestion.
