Screw you guys because the way you respond to a legitimate post asking a legitimate question is always the same. "HTFU stop QQ" You could be a little more tactful in your responses but because you don't give a [REDACTED] you drive others away. These forums are better without you, and you need to diaf.

Kin brings up a completely valid point. This could be in the bug forum.

This is not a legitimate post to a legitimate question. The original poster asserts that giants should be able to hold anything, even something that weighs upwards of 100 lbs. This is certainly not true. Giants actually do have a limit to what they can and cannot carry due to their carrying capacity, which despite what the original poster may think is not set to infinity (which isn't even possible). In any case, the amount required to hold a 100 lb weapon is probably much, much higher than the 575 lbs that giants have to work with.

I think it is less of a response that requires a HTFU, but more of a please do not post this garbage that serves no actual purpose on the forums.

bet a naked giant with max strength could wield a 100lb weapon.

I don't see why these weapons couldn't be made of steel so that giants can wield them. I would suggest idea logging it or something, kin.

I would agree that having a weapon that is too heavy to be wielded defeats the purpose of it being a weapon which to me is a problem with the weight of obsidian items.

Actually, a lot of the item weights in SK seem really off to me.

It's because they are. Most of the weapons that the game uses have a real world weight and then an sk weight. I can almost guarantee that there is no such thing as a ten pound rapier in the real world.

Edit. I can guarantee it. http://www.thearma.org/essays/weights.htm

tl;dr? "the lengthy catalog of swords from the famed Wallace Collection Museum in London readily lists dozens of fine specimens among which it is difficult to find any weighing in excess of 4 pounds. Indeed, the majority of specimens, from arming swords to two-handers to rapiers, weigh much less than three pounds."

That being said, a giant sized great axe made of stone? Has to be pretty freaking heavy, but I'd bet that if the weapon weights ever get tweaked it will scale down in game to be wield-able.
