When it's a diabolic character then yes, that is enough RP reason behind it. Especially if the player decides to turn on quiet mode and refuse to RP with them.

Hell, when I played Daerk peso's necro killed me/full looted me and only met him once with no RP reason for doing it just because I had really nice things.

Mmmm Diabolic excuse for actions again, perhaps that alignment should need approval from an imm so that it is RPed well and not an excuse to act like a Dbag.

I still like the efforts of Ardith to find out who I am playing OOC just to grief me.

Maybe these things should be considered when you are trying to make the game more popular.

If anything, that right there proves it wasn't syn that made you delete. If you were more pissed before and didn't delete, you were just looking for a reason to delete this time.

My understanding is that syn's character sent Rhea a tell saying "hi," and instead of responding like a normal person, Rhea spazzed out due to OOC hatred for syn, then turned on quiet mode and refused to RP. Now she's complaining about getting ganked by a diabolic person she pissed off for no IC reason, and complaining about not receiving RP from someone she refused to RP with.

I don't have any firsthand knowledge of wtf is going on between these two players, though, so my information could be off. I am baffled as to why someone would delete a perfectly good RP character just because their sacred gear got junked. Not to defend syn, but I wouldn't be surprised if Esme was at least half full of BS.

I would bet that even if Rhea willingly handed that staff to Syn that should would have pk'd Rhea anyways. Syn shows no respect for others and thus needs removed. Be nice if having your forumid banned also bans you from logging into the game.

People are so whiny now. I'm so glad people didn't whine this much back when griefing happened daily, 10x as bad as syn does it. That would have been a QQfest from hell.

This one time, there was a dorf that got charmed and the player of the dorf whinned on the forums and cried for days.

People acting poorly before does not excuse Syn's actions lately. Maybe I only say this because I am negatively affected by her actions, but if you want to call QQ on those that stand up for the game and would like to survive, so be it. At some point you need to draw a line and say enough. Sorry to see Rhea delete, and turning this into a bash on Syn thread. Perhaps Viltrax can split it to general discussion.

Last week, I got a tell from a newbie asking me if I could help him recover his corpse. I located for true seeing vials and there were none, so I went to meet the lowbie, who was an aberrant deep-elf and considered as could kill naked. He said he had died in Tul'zuth and that if I gave him a weapon and healed him, he could lead me to his corpse. I located his corpse in a room in Tul'zuth. We gated there and then he started going in the direction of the corpse. He suddenly switched to speed run and sprinted into the no magic room above the brine wight. Then he used the position command to switch positions with me and put me in the front row. There were six lighties there and they bashed and killed me. Then Narlen did an emote about violating my corpse, and Chakos said, "lol newb." All my things were junked.

About three hours later, a darkie priest logged on, and I asked for a resurrection, but Tragonis had already contacted them, and when I got rezzed, I was bashed and stunned. Then Narlen charmed my character and had a necromancer Edrain me 49 levels. Then they made me send embarrassing, sexual tells to everyone on the who list, and also did an RP involving border-line rape that was just implicit enough to avoid punishment. Then Narlen made me spam send tells to Deamuce requesting to be uninducted from the midnight council. Once I was uninducted, they made me wear the scold's bridle and put me inside the lamp of scapegrace keeping. Then they buried the lamp in some obscure place. I have since managed, through pure luck, to escape from the lamp, but have eaten twelve voodoo ganks. Seventeen voodoo dolls have been made of my character, and Tragonis has distributed them throughout the pbase.

I didn't QQ about any of that, even though I think Tragonis might have used excessive force and gone a little overboard. It's a shame that other people have to delete and cry foul when they eat a simple jloot.
