Yes, but while I am trying to help murder Urizzt, he should not be casting while sleeping. I do not see a problem with casting while moving since it is +horrendous with the added movement lag.

By the way, if you don't justify your answer, I won't necessarily take the final poll results very seriously.

I lean toward making this change because it both makes sense and changes some of the tactics in the game. In general, people hate change and yet paradoxically, if the game never changes, people will also stop playing out of boredom. I deliberately gave the worst outcome that I could think of on either side of this change, but you can just as easily substitute any attack spell for "final strike". This isn't a final strike issue.

Being able to cast while moving was an early oversight that grew into an expectation, but it does not have to continue this way.

Well it will stop groups from grabing NPCs that cast holy word and running around dropping those bombs

I can concur with no movement and casting. Especially because I dislike holy word bombs.

That would be a tremendous nerf to all casters, especially of the support class types. It would make trips to areas like outlands or ToM a pain in the rears, since party leader would have to constantly spam info, check everyone's PEs and move on. And that's just one mere example. Also, it would be a huge nerf for Holy Word. If you do insist in implementing this change, though, I would very strongly suggest that you also decrease the casting time of spells like refresh and holy word to practically insta-cast.

I think walk in holy words are just fine. We have a problem with people walking in with final strike, and holy word, and no problem with the mobility that things like skirmish provide? I think it is silly. Those are legitimate tactics.

Perhaps what needs be tweeked is Final Strike itself, and not casting while moving in general. Can you do something about that, big D?

What if you add concentration while in movement? So when moving it becomes very difficult to concentrate and cast, leaving you only able to cast very simple spells like refresh.

In retrospect, is this a priority change? I can think of a slew of other items of the code that could take precedence over someone moving and casting. :-?
