This is actually extremely false. The difference between imprisonment in sk and imprisonment in historical earth is that in sk there is a limit placed on it.

This is actually false. Perhaps its the way I stated it, as I did not mean to imply that there was no such thing as prison. However, people very rarely were punished with prison terms in and of itself. It was far more likely that you would go to prison to wait until you recieved your actual punishment such as your execution or some other form of corporal punishment. Thus once again: Imprisonment as punishment by itself is
by and large (i.e. there are rare exceptions to this, but they are rare) a modern invention.
