I am not posting all this as a QQ because I'm playing a necro and I'm sad because they suck. I could have told you that necros suck before I rolled one. Honestly, I'm glad that I got PKed and the loot I was sitting on while playing minimal hours got distributed throughout the mud.

This is a straight-up evaluation of necros in PK. They suck. They require twice as much if not more prep time, both in enchanting (Which they can't cast) and in actual combat prep time. No other class has to do much work before going into a fight, and yet still, anyone who can cast holy word will screw over a necro completely and there's absolutely nothing the necro can do about it.

Keeping holy word from being walk-in castable would be a better fix in this area, but it would not change the fact that holy word screws over necros so bad it isn't even debatable as to whether necros are good in high-level PvP.

Your assessment of the class is way off, Edoras.

Necros are great. You did poorly with one. It happens. Better luck next time.

You can use that tactic if you want. It's no longer considered cheating.

feeblemind is an awesome spell...just saying.

God forbid there are two classes that have a spell which can possibly hinder the pathway of destruction and blood necromancers typically leave in their wake. Having eight+ GM barbs holding reaching weapons is cool in any other scenario though. However there are always the controls which can 3 round most addy clad, enchanted barbs/merks with a simple o all bash.

I know you are good at the pvp Edoras... But Necro's can win if you do it right. The necro spell set can work wonders if you use the right spells....sleep fear Feeblemind....that will stop any holyword attempts to begin with.

Has that changed as of 2 weeks ago? That's when an IMM manifested and told me that what I was doing was cheating despite there being absolutely no other way for me to find that out.

Honestly I wish these sorts of things were more public knowledge because there's literally no way for anyone to find out, and if it's been reversed that means nothing because there's no way for players of necros to know.


Also, Deathadder, casting a spell that takes longer than a charged-up holy word to cast is a pretty bad idea for stopping holy words. Then again you play a merc that spam died, so why do I bother trying to convince you otherwise?


Baldric, even though nobody agrees with me, a necro hasn't dominated in the PvP scene freaking Salak rolled one that spam-summon ganked people, which was probably 3-4 years ago just based on the fact of how long ago it was since you could summon-gank people solo. So sure, you might say that no one agrees with me, but there's also zero evidence to the contrary.

In fact, I remember you specifically saying "I am pretty concerned over how ridiculously easy it was for me to totally neutralize a necro army without any danger whatsoever" concerning the time you led Vinoria in for a double holy-word. So, in the end, I can't tell what the heck has you against my goat on this, either you just enjoy arguing or you're angry at me for not babying Syn.

Vinoria was just better than Surrit, that's all.

Edoras, you do the "blind to everything everyone around you says" rage almost as bad as Syn sometimes, just in a more intelligent seeming sort of way .
