I think it is all in your head.

No, I am not going to go out to get some empirical evidence either, I don't feel this needs any justification. I am pretty sure that the only thing that affects it is skill level of spell being brewed, and skill level of brew, and maybe quality of vial.

That being said, having high wisdom, and mana trains is definitely better for brewing because of the mana pool, and mana regen bonuses.

I am pretty sure it is not just in my head. I suppose I can buy 200 like vials and polymorph into a giant and then into a gnome for some tests, though.

Might as well use the adjective supple while you're at it.

I tested enchants vs stats a while back and came to the conclusion stats grant more bonuses for saves. For instance 4 dex was better than a greater reflex enchant and obviously gave other bonuses such as carrying capacity.

Wearing steel for spamming spells makes it take less mana, *maybe* be more likely to improve, but most importantly you actually improve much more by "learning from your mistakes" than you do by just "you improve at" which you get when you succeed.

Also why shield block masters so much quicker than parry and dodge: You can improve on failures as well as successes.

Something odd happened this time. I mastered dodge before shield block. I had to quote Keanu.

Look at the priest tournament a while back with that nature priest gnome in the hand vs. Baba vs. others. The gnome won handily even though everyone else (at least Baba did) have mastered brew. The gnome priest I played could brew double heals at near 25 percent efficiency. I don't come anywhere near that with Urizzt nor did I with Baba.

I am fairly certain that wisdom does affect brewing.

I'd postulate that intelligence affects scribing also, but that I haven't tested as much.

I always wondered why my delf sorcs would seem to scribe so much better than my elf, human, or sprite sorcs

My sprite necro doesn't seem to scribe any worse than my delf sorc, but meh.

This makes sense if you were primarily leveling with two-handers and also taking full advantage of blitzkrieg.
