I've lost over half of my hp pool using my bill spec. Algon has said he's lost more, and I'm fairly certain his giant merc does way more damage than my merc does.

and pets that were already fragile and used to be somewhat viable with it no longer get it

Wow, classes can no longer be independant because everyone received a nerf to one spell that only targeted opposite auras.

You can still give pets sanc, which makes a whole lot more difference than protection especially since almost all pets are grey aura anyway if I recall.

You could always just join a religion as a scout. It isn't as if you'll gain more benefit from spirit aura.

The buff from protection certainly wouldn't be enough to convince me to join a religion, especially not at the cost of SA.

Well, it definitely depends on your class and playstyle. SA only reduces melee damage, so unless you're obsessed over not getting voodoo'd casters have no reason to not join a religion now. You get symbol bonuses and the chance at sacred lewt too!

protection is a pretty good spell, and now there's more of an incentive to join a religion now.

It was always broken that you could be a pantheist and have spirit aura AND protection, anyway.

I think this is a great change, but it is still Mitch's fault.
