I'd like to add that I don't think swashbucklers need reach weapons. It's one of the things that makes them unique. They're always going to be frontline fighters.

Weren't massive weapons added because a swash was just that damned good at parrying and riposting in the first place? So now people want it removed? Seems like its a hard balance to strike here. I am also confused why everyone wants them to be flipping around like a ninja and high kicking? I can see one RP style fitting this bill, but it doesn't really fit with other equally valid concepts such as fencing and the like.

As for the street smarts skill, i like the idea. It would be neat also if people could remember who a person was seen with or some or all of what they were seen wearing. Might be OP or need some tweaking but its interesting.

Perhaps a way to find or exploit an opponents weakness. Perhaps a free strike at an opponents most damaged body part or perhaps a few rounds of being able to specifically target a part or parts such as arms, or left arm, and so on. Or could even be expanded to other ideas of a "weakness" people can come up with.

Perhaps the ability to use their weapons in a suppressive instead of just offensive or defensive. Focus on forcing an opponent to defend them self. It could reduce their number of attacks and or speed. Perhaps forcing them to work twice as hard to block the incoming blows and draining PE faster.

Dual wield reach whips would be interesting. Or dual wield whips in general.

You can -kind- of replicate dual wielded whips already. I say kind of. Sling is a really a poor substitute.

Make kick sap PE. Boom, active combat choice without radically changing the class.

No, massive weapons were added so that we would see a greater variety of thematically-appropriate weapons used by mercs/barbs. Big strong warriors in heavy armor were all using epees, rapiers, and so on. Swashbucklers were underpowered before the introduction of massive weaponry, and became even worse as a result of the change.

75% of all weapons are sub-par/useless. I know its a huge job, but if all the weapon types were actually balanced, I think the problem with swashies would be fixed. As it is now, a great deal of weapons are just crap and are there for nothing more than thematic value when they should be viable choices for weapons.

Swashies need to do just as much as damage as mercs or swashies straight up, I think if enhanced damage isn't enough they need an even more enchanced damage. I mean if these guys are getting 4-5 attacks and still paling in comparison to mercs and barbs straight damage wise, then why roll one? They are a front row only combat class, give them the ability to compete damage wise. With the recent change to massive weapons they're garbage.
