I like history.

The fact that the theology and history and myths are all intertwined and not at all clear (with or without help files dug up) and nonsensical just enables everyone to roleplay laughter at anyone trying to treat the old lore as any kind of empirical source of truth worth worshipping. Similar to, say, trying to convince a devout christian that any Norse or old Greek god is on par with their God)...

All part of the big washing machine of content that's out there for characters to discover and interact with and try to make sense of, in my opinion.
