I didn't say they needed a complete revamp, just the NPCs that either give or sell the eq.

I rarely ever play centaurs, but I've never been mauled by anything, ever, until at least veteran. I suppose I can see it happening to a sorc, but I've never rolled one and have no experience there.

And also, sprites are exempt from your complaint. Sprites don't need sprite-specific eq. The eq you get for any other race is perfectly fine, you just need to spend the pleasantly low-priced fees to get things resized. Or ask a mage.

That isn't to say I wouldn't like to see sprite-specific eq. But I'd rather see mid to higher level eq with spritely themes, because that'd just be [REDACTED] adorable, AND useful.

Noob eq is silly cheap to resize, and it's not difficult to make money as a noob, either. Take advantage of the quests, spam kill NPCs. The good noob eq lasts until apprentice, and by then, it's a good idea to have a sorc contact to ask for help shrinking things. I just don't think sprites have it half so bad as you might be thinking.

Nope, newb eq is NOT cheap to resize. Dare ya to resize the eq to tiny in the empire for less than 1plat. Second, in Taslamar since it is made of obsidian, can't even be resized without hunting for a mage. That to, is NOT newb friendly.

The newb EQ in Taslamar isn't made of obsidian, it's made of steel. You're a knucklehead if you think the Collegium is still the newbie area. The newb EQ in the Empire is free in every size.

...Where the <radio edit> are you finding newb gear in Tas that's made of obsidian? All the stuff in the academy is leather or iron or cloth.

Not the armor, the weapons. The practice dagger shouldn't be used much, if at all possible. Not saying the weapons should be free also, but at least feasibly accessible to newbies. I don't mind paying for the resizing of armor so much because the armor for the starting areas are free or nearly free, so resizing them is hella cheap. Weapon costs in Nerina IMO are about right but they aren't accessible to all classes and races.

Every post you make just confirms that you have no clue what you're talking about. All the weapons for newbs in Taslamar are steel.
